A West Virginia mother is seeking a recall of a popular walkie-talkie after her 3-year-old's toy apparently intercepted a profanity-laced conversation between truckers about drugs and strip clubs.

Is this woman living in a cave or just brain-dead? Basic Walkie-Talkies have been allotted the same band space as CB for as long as I can remember. And 20' is the effective communications range between a set of them - there is little you can do about filtering out reception of all of the other crap on that band except through outright attenuation of everything. Even if she went to FRS there's no way to pick and chose what speech she might hear there - that's something she needs to take up with the FCC, not Fisher-Price. Maybe she should buy her kid a pair of tin cans and carefully chaperone their use. Fisher-Prices' response is nearly as stupid as her initial complaint - they should have told her to take a toke and chill out. Poor kid!
